Houjicha is green tea that has been roasted over hot coals, resulting in an amber brew with a deep, woody aroma. It is smooth and mellow to drink that is lower in caffeine due to the roasting. This loose-leaf houjicha may be re-infused up to two times. Perfect for hot or cold brews.

To keep your houjicha as fresh as possible, store it in a cool, dry place in the pouch provided. This will keep it airtight and away from sunlight, preserving the tea for longer. Best consumed within three months of opening the seal.
How to prepare Houjicha for two
- Put 2 tablespoons of Kin Houjicha in a teapot.
- Pour in 250mL of 95ºC water.
- Steep for 3 minutes.
- Enjoy.
